To evaluate the impact of the AET’s funded programme.

An independent evaluation of the programme is being carried out by a team from the University of Warwick . Training participants at each tier will complete questionnaires before and after their training and, for tier 2 and 3, there will also be follow-up questionnaires some months later to gauge impact on practice. The evaluators will also interview those involved in developing and delivering the training and a sample of school staff, as well as a sample of parents of children with autism. The evaluation aims to measure the success of the programme in raising staff confidence, improving the education of children on the autism spectrum, and increasing their parents involvement in their education and confidence early years settings.
