    Autism affects around 1 in 100 children and adults. All professionals working in education settings should be prepared to support pupils on the autism spectrum – and all staff should have a basic awareness of autism and the needs of individual pupils.

  • The AET progamme:
    Coming in 2014 – the programme will aim to train all professionals working with all ages 0- 25 and support parents and LA’s.

  • Schools Programme:
    A national, face -to-face 3 tier training programme for professionals working across all education settings for pupils aged 5-16 years through Training hubs. Including the Schools National Autism Standards and Schools Competency Framework.

  • Early Years Programme:
    Coming in 2014… A national, face -to-face 3 tier training programme for all professionals working in various early years settings for children up to 5 years. Including the Early Years National Autism Standards and Early Years Competency Framework.

  •  Post 16 Programme:
    Coming in 2014… A national, face -to-face 3 tier training programme for all professionals working in various post 16 settings for young people above 16 years. Including the Post 16 National Autism Standards and Post 16 Competency Framework.

  • Parent Guide:
    Coming in 2014… A guide for parents, focusing on various priorities to support them to navigate the world of education. Building good relationships with professionals and schools.
